Microneedling

Regular Microneedling

Microneedling works by encouraging your skin to make more collagen. Small needle wounds from the procedure cause slight injury to the skin that leads to new collagen-rich tissue. Skin becomes more even in tone and texture over repeated treatments.  It’s also considered effective in treating minor scarring related to acne, wounds, and ageing.

We recommend a course of 3 treatments, which include your choice of Lifting, Hydrating or Brightening active serums.

Considerations

You may notice skin irritation and redness within the first few days following the procedure. This is a natural response to the small “injuries” made by the needles in your skin. You can go back to work after the procedure if you’re comfortable. Some people apply camouflaging makeup during the first few days as the redness dissipates. Your skin will also be more sensitive to the sun, so sunscreen is a must.

Dermaplaning

Dermaplaning is a painless method of exfoliation that consists of using a scalpel to gently scrape off the top layer of dulling dead skin cells in order to reveal a smoother, brighter complexion. The treatment aims to  soften the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and mild scarring. Immediate results – smooth, soft and radiant skin.  It removes all the dead skin cells and also the Vellus facial hair, leaving the surface very smooth and also allows for greater penetration of skincare products and creates a flawless canvas for makeup to glide on smoothly.  It has also been beneficial for reducing the appearance of acne scars.

Should I combine microneedling with dermaplaning?

There are many good reasons to combine these two types of facial treatment together. Dermaplaning before microneedling can bring a range of benefits and advantages including:

Deeper cell rejuvenation, exfoliation and regeneration –because the villus hair and dead skin has already been removed during the dermaplaning procedure, the microneedles can reach slightly deeper into the skin, to trigger exfoliation process further into the skin.

More effective, visible results, especially for large pores, uneven skin tones and scarring – dermaplaning doesn’t just prepare the surface of the skin, it can also start to change it through exfoliation, and the removal of dead skin cells. To then apply microneedling on top of the this, means that any microneedling results will be greatly increased, especially those relating to the quality of the skin.

Increased penetration of any topical products – after both a dermaplaning treatment and a microneedling treatment, you can expect any skin care products to be more readily absorbed by the body, increasing the quality and hydration of the skin. However, after microneedling, it is advised that you should wait at least 24 hours before applying any treatments, as the skin can be incredibly sensitive.

While you can opt for a microneedling treatment after dermaplaning, you should not consider dermaplaning after a microneedling treatment. This is because microneedling requires more downtime, as well as rest for your skin.

Non Invasive Carboxytherapy

A Non-Invasive Carboxytherapy facial is a treatment during which a gas, carbon dioxide (CO2), is infused into the skin to encourage an increased flow of oxygen. Carbon dioxide is a naturally occurring gas in the body and as such it can not cause any allergic or other unwanted reactions.

  • Tissue tightening and brightening

  • Skin regeneration

  • Hydration

  • Reduction of the appearance of fine lines

  • Reduction of dark under-eye circles

  • Improvement in circulation

  • Improved lymphatic drainage

Non-Invasive Carboxytherapy

What is the principal of a Carboxytherapy treatment?

By infusing carbon dioxide into the skin, an acidic environment develops. This signals our organism to secure oxygen to the tissue in the treated region and accumulate natural growth factors (vascular endothelial growth factors). Within several days after the treatment there is an increased natural distribution of oxygen in the places of application, a completely new microcirculation is created, lymphatic drainage is increased and in this way skin regeneration is achieved in a natural way.

What happens during treatment?

The process involves a special Gel and Activator Face Mask used to infuse the skin with CO2, to encourage an increased flow of oxygen. This helps to regenerate the skin in a much more natural way, meaning that other than a slight tingling feeling during treatment, you won’t feel anything and can go back to your usual activities with no recovery time
